Frequently asked questions
Will it work on my iPhone?
Yes, if you have an iPhone 15 Pro, 16 Pro or 17 Pro, including Max versions. Any Pro model with Apple Log works. Non Pro iPhones do not have Apple Log, so they are not compatible.
Apple Log or Apple Log 2, which file do I use?
Match the Color Space you record in. In the Blackmagic Camera app, check Settings, Record, Color Space. iPhone 17 Pro can use Apple Log 2, iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro use Apple Log. Both files are included.
How do I install it?
Download the free Blackmagic Camera app, import the LUT in Settings, LUTs Manager, select Apple Log and apply Cupidon. It takes about 2 minutes and the PDF guide walks you through every step.
Do I need a computer or editing software?
No. You shoot with the LUT applied and your clip is ready to post right away.
Does it work with the normal iPhone camera app?
No. You shoot in the free Blackmagic Camera app, which unlocks Apple Log recording. That is where the cinema look comes from.
Why does my footage look flat and grey without the LUT?
That is Apple Log, a flat profile that captures more color information than a normal video. Cupidon converts that flat image into the final film look.
Can I use it in DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or Premiere?
Yes. Cupidon is a standard .cube file and works in any editor that supports LUTs.
Can I use it for client work?
Yes. One time payment, unlimited personal and commercial use.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep it forever, free updates included.
What if it does not work for me?
You have a 30 day money back guarantee. If Cupidon does not work on your iPhone, you get a full refund, no questions asked.
